Community guidelines

The Parents Hub is a friendly place for parents and carers to share experiences of nursery and the early years. To keep it safe and useful:

Protect children’s privacy

• Don’t post a child’s full name, photos, date of birth, your address, or details that show where a child will be and when (for example their nursery and pick-up times).
• Don’t share other families’ details.
• Image uploads and private messages are switched off on purpose.

Be kind

• No abuse, bullying, hate speech or swearing.
• Disagree with ideas, not people.

Be honest and fair about nurseries

• Share your own experience, not rumours. Don’t make allegations about named staff.
• If you’re worried about a child’s safety, contact the nursery, your local council’s children’s services or Ofsted, or call 999 in an emergency. Don’t post it here.
• Want to review a nursery? Use the reviews on its page.

Parents only, no selling

• Nurseries and businesses can’t post or advertise. Nursery accounts can’t join the Parents Hub.
• No spam, referral links or sales.

Medical and legal questions

Other parents’ experiences can help, but they aren’t professional advice. For health questions, speak to your GP or health visitor, or call NHS 111.

How moderation works

• Your first post is checked by our team before it appears. After that, posts appear straight away unless our filters flag them.
• Anyone can report a post. Reported posts are reviewed, and posts with several reports are hidden until we’ve checked them.
• We remove posts and ban accounts that break these rules.
